Dysport is an injection containing abobotulinumtoxinA(Botulinum toxin type A). AbobotulinumtoxinA is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.
Dysport is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with procerus and corrugator muscle activity in adult patients less than 65 years of age.
What to expect?
Before treatment
Our Nurse Practitioners will review your chart with you and confirm your skincare and what are your beauty goals.
We will discuss the risk factors associated with the treatment, and any other concerns you may have before to proceed with the treatment.
APRN will help you determine if Dysport is the right option for you.
During treatment
Mild discomfort may be experienced, but the process isn’t painful. We will cleanse injection sites to work and we may offer numbing agents as requested by patient.
The required number of Dysport units varies by patients and these will be injected below the skin’s dermis layer.
We will smooth out the Dysport injection to ensure it’s in all the desire places.
After treatment
You may expect to experience mild symptoms such as slight tenderness, temporary redness, swelling, and in rare cases, slight bruising on injection sites. This is temporary, and ice packs will help to relieve any swelling and discomfort you may experience post treatment.
We will schedule complimentary follow-up appointments to discuss how the treatment went and if any retouch is needed.

What is Dysport?
Dysport is a prescription injection administered by a licensed healthcare professional to treat moderate to severe frown lines (those wrinkles between the eyebrows).

Is Dysport different from BOTOX® Cosmetic?
Dysport® and Botox are both made from botulinum toxin type A. All botulinum toxins have the same mechanism of action: blocking the release of acetylcholine (ACh) and preventing the muscles from contracting to maintain the aesthetic effect. However, the dose of Dysport is not the same as the dose of any other botulinum toxin product and cannot be compared to the dosage of any other botulinum toxin product that you may have previously used.
Where should Dysport be injected?
Dysport is primarily used for correcting glabellar lines, the frown lines between your eyebrows. Dysport is a great option for those who have moderate to severe frown lines. Botox, on the other hand, can be used to treat many different types of wrinkles, including crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, and laugh lines.
